My practice very much involves balancing and tuning the left and right
hemispheres of the brain (the analytical and creative aspects of
ourselves). My logo represents the analytical left hemisphere and creative right hemisphere. Under ideal circumstances they both work in harmony to support all of the many and varied aspects of ourselves. During periods of stress however, the balance can be tipped towards more of a survival mode. This may be helpful in the short-term but if survival patterns become the baseline, life may feel like more of a struggle than it need be. I have an interest in the scientific processes behind hypnosis and
this forms the foundation for my work. It is from here that I can decide how to best use this
knowledge in therapeutic application for each individual. Once
the scientific principles are satisfied, it is very much up to the power of
the creative imaginative processes to work on the subconscious mind. This
is where all change will take place on the issue at hand, whether it is
smoking cessation, anxiety, stress, past issues or any of life's
challenges. Through the power of therapeutic suggestion visualisation and guided imagery, the seeds of rapid and lasting change can be sown at the subconscious level. The other aspect to my work has a more spiritual base, in the
sense that I believe we are an energy system and that we are all connected
to each other as well as to the world and universe around us. It may be helpful in some
cases to draw energy from within our own higher guidance and from the
unlimited supply of energy the universe provides for us. Some people are
more comfortable keeping things at a practical level and some like to
explore further if they are familiar with energy work, yoga, meditation
etc. It's up to the individual and I aim to fit with people so as to help
them achieve the goals they set for themselves, in the way that they find most integrating. My clinical practice involves an holistic approach to addressing issues. I use hypnosis as a way of assisting the integration and balancing of brainwave energies in both hemispheres. It is very much about science and art working together to redress the imbalances that naturally occur throughout our busy and challenging lives.Brain Wave Balancing
